to deepen your practice,
to expand your world,
to live a more present life.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Being a human is hard and everyone is different. It’s also amazing, completely mind-blowing and we are all working through the same challenges, though they may be different in appearance. What if we could be better equipped to handle it all? The good, the bad, the confusing, the exciting? Everything.

Taking time to ‘work on yourself’ can feel daunting and cliché. It can also deliver a more present and fulfilling life. What if you could learn bit by bit in a comfortable, familiar place, with the teachers you already know and love? Welcome to the badass human School of Yoga!

Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and it is much more than the poses we know and possibly dread. We are going to break it down, course by course. Offering you the option to take it at your pace, to pick and choose where you expand your knowledge and your practice.

  • The first two limbs of yoga are the Yamas and Niyamas.

Yama, refers to disciplines or practices that are primarily concerned with the world around us, and our interaction with it. Niyama refers to internal duties. The prefix ‘ni’ is a Sanskrit verb which means ‘inward’ or ‘within’.

This six week course will lead you through all five yamas - Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya (non-stealing), Brahmacharya (right use of energy), and Aparigraha (non-greed or non-hoarding) and the five niyamas - saucha (cleanliness), santosha (contentment), tapas (discipline), svadhyaya (self-study), and isvarapranidaha (surrender to a higher power) - giving you an opportunity to learn, discuss and apply these practices to your life.

    Beginning again September 2025.

  • Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life. It is also known as the “sister science” to yoga.

This six week course will lead you through the history of Ayurveda, the Doshas (Pitta, Vata and Kapha), and how and what we are consuming plays a role in our daily lives. Not only food but also what we energetically take in, ie media. We will learn and share with each other recipes and dishes to fully explore an Ayurvedic lifestyle.

    2025-2026 dates coming soon.

  • Anatomy is the study of the structure and relationship between body parts. Physiology is the study of the function of body parts and the body as a whole. Anatomy and Physiology (A+P) of yoga takes your regular A+P and bumps it to the hows and whys.

In this six week series, we are going to break down muscle movement, learn why we want or don’t want to move certain ways, and most important, safely. By learning how the muscles move, we gain a better understanding of the Asana and can further our yogic practice.

    2026 dates coming soon.

  • The third limb of yoga is asana or poses. Take a deep dive into 50 of your favorite poses. Learn proper alignment, adjustments, modifications, breath + transitions.
